Like right now, at this very moment. I would love to share with you the smell from my kitchen. We harvested all kinds of stuff from the garden. It’s our Sunday morning ritual during the summer months. We all jump-start our minds with some caffeine and then find gloves and go meet in the garden.
While we worked outside, we were able to open all the windows and air the house out with cool morning air (for the first time in nearly 6 weeks). It was a glorious 66 degrees and an incredibly light breeze was removing the stale A/C air from all the nooks and crannies.
By the time we came back in it was warming up quickly, so the house got closed back up and we began to divide all the veggies up to share with friends and family.
Ohmygoodness, the smell is amazing. I’ve been washing and chopping and prepping and cooking.
The smell of fresh veggies is over-powering, but it a good way. It’s like onions and dirt and cut grass and a big ole salad all wrapped up in a delicious assault of the senses. It’s the reminder that fall is coming and the oppressive stank of the summer heat will be gone. I love love LOVE that fall is on the way.
Have a ridiculously amazing day & thanks for stopping by 🙂
Wow! Nice harvesting. Could definitely use some smell-o-vision!
