food:: garlic bread knots

garlic bread knots::

1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed (Mine said 4 to 7 hours depending on the room temp for thawing in a bowl sprayed with vegetable oil)

1/4 c. parmesan cheese

1 tsp. garlic powder (or 2 – 3 cloves of fresh pressed/minced garlic)

1 T. parsley flakes (or a big bunch of snipped fresh parsley)

1/2 stick butter (I use the real stuff at my house)

Thaw dough and then preheat the oven according to the frozen bread dough package.

On parchment paper, roll out the dough to a rectangle about 1/4” thickness (or about there – no need to obsess over it – whatever floats your boat) and let it rest a couple of minutes while you melt the butter in a glass bowl in the microwave for about 30 – 45 seconds.

Add all the other ingredients to the melted butter and give it a stir.

Back to the dough: cut it into about 1 1/2”  strips (again – whatever width floats your boat)

Tie each strip into a knot and place on baking sheet making sure to leave room for expansion.

Brush the butter mixture on each with a pastry brush and pop them in the oven.

Viola – about 25 minutes later – delicious and fluffy carbs – apply directly to the hips.  Time for some cardio, but hey it was worth it!

PS – inspiration found here (but mine are minus all the preservatives and other chemicals)
