crochet:: opal sock love 1.2

Yesterday was a fab hooky day off from work.  My Farmer Frank’s birthday turned out great.  The dutch apple pie was divine with some vanilla ice cream, and it was an all-around lovely day.  But alas, he is a farmer, and had to head back to harvesting today.

So now I have the whole weekend stretched out in front of me…I really love that feeling.

Left to my own devices today, I am enjoying my first cup of tea and a quiet house.  (The boy is a teenager – so I should get at least 2 more hours of sleep out of him.  Teens can sleep the whole day away!)  I plan on lots of hook time and a chick movie.

My Opal yarn adventure was completed yesterday as expected and I really do love love love them.

The pattern I used was not very well written I must say.  It leaves you hanging on the details enough that you have to improvise.  I think I will be re-writing some notes directly into the book for future reference.  Despite that, the end result was worth the aggravation.

See ya on the flip-side of the weekend – have a good one 🙂
