photography:: late season gardening

Lots of garden work going on this time of year for me.

My lettuce actually survived the hot July weather, so salads are still on the home-grown menu.  I am pretty amazed at that one!

The tomatoes are getting canned.

I have also seen the return of my feathered friends.

Right now they are going through 4 cups of food every 24 to 36 hours.  Hungry little things!

It’s time to get the last of my fall planting ready, football season has started, and my son goes back to school soon.

Finally, my favorite time of year is here.

Lots of time is planned for bonfires and lazy days on the deck.

And with a little luck, A LOT more time to use my new hooks!
