crochet:: scheming a new afghan

As I mentioned here and here, I have been scheming new afghan patterns.  I have bought the yarn for 2 of them.  I am totally stuck on afghan number 2.  Number 1 ~ that’s easy.  I knew right away the colors and the style.  The stitch was easy as pie to decide on.  Number 2 ~ I am stumped!  But more about that later.  Much later… like after I finish #1.

So, without further ado here is the yarn for #1::

I am still on my rainbow bender

what can I say?  I am loving the rainbow!

I am only about 1/4 of the way into it, so it is not ready for any sneaky peekying.  That just wouldn’t be fun, more likely disappointing.  But it is not a 4 month long kind of project either.  I have done this first 1/4 in less than a week and I work full time.  I have caught an hour here and an hour there in the evenings and I am liking the progress.

The above shot was taken on the dark background for a reason.  The only detail that is up in the air is the border.   I can’t decide if it will be light or dark.  So here is the yarn on light…

Now that I am actually using all of the stash yarn I keep buying, maybe my house won’t explode after all.

I am already writing the pattern up to share, and it is SUPER EASY!!!!  It is easy like my baby blankie afghan, no need to count ~ my favorite way to hook.

So help me out here, please.

With these colors, dark border or light border????  Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Thanks bunches for stopping by 🙂
