food:: thanksgiving & birthday cake

Happy Birthday to ME!

So now you know why I love Thanksgiving so much.  I spend time with my family, I get my favorite meal cooked by my lovely mother, and I can top it off with birthday cake for dessert 🙂

We started off with shrimp cocktail and wine and cheese…

then a fabulous turkey and my mom’s world-famous dressing…

and finished with chocolate birthday cake and such a thoughtful gift from my parents that it brought me to tears…

I will be posting photos of it tomorrow.  I need to photograph it when the light is much better.
